Euro Mediterranean Charter for Equality between Women and Men in Local Life (Med Equality)
Med Equality is a project funded by the European Union aiming to promote policies of equality in Euro-Med Local Governments for more empowered and euro-med inclusive societies. Euro Mediterranean Charter for Equality between Women and Men in Local Life is an entity that works to achieve quality and maintain it knowing that Beit Sahour Municipality is a vital part of this entity through the Association of Palestinian Local Authorities (APLA).
The Euro Mediterranean Charter is an entity that addresses all local governments and communities to strengthen and guarantee the implementation of equal opportunities principles for both sexes especially women as quality is one of the humanity basics that should be kept, maintained and addressed correctly and globally.
We at Beit Sahour Municipality always emphasize on the role of women in the local community and totally believe that equality is the path to success as we raise our generations on mutual respect, mutual understanding and mutual cooperation and plant the principles of life quality in their hearts to create a generation that believes and works to raise the principles of equality up high.
Beit Sahour Municipality represented by Municipality Director Eng. Hanan Manoli was part in this important convention that took place in Palermo / Italy, on the 30th of May 2016 to strengthen the network between Local Authorities and Civil Society Organizations, as well as drafting and implementing the Euro-Mediterranean Charter for Equality between Women and Men in Local Life and work on the best practices exchanges and dissemination.
