A European Delegation visits Beit Sahours

A Delegation consists of 35 persons from the European Union included members of the European Parliament, visited Beit Sahour Municipality on Saturday 10 February where Mayor Hani Al-Hayek and City Council members welcomed them. The mayor gave a detailed explanation about the current situations and conditions in Palestine and the needs of the city expressing the fact that International support is very much needed during these turbulence times. As they toured in the old town, Dar-Dakarat - Heritage Center of the municipality and Dar Qumsieh.

Dr. Elias Rishmawi, a council member spoke with the delegation affirming that Palestinian people want a justice peace with respect as we are a nation that wants to live with dignity as the rest of the world, and this was his message from the Palestinian people to the European people.

At the end of the visit the mayor of Beit Sahour thanked the delegation for their visit to the city and invited them to spend a longer time in the city in their next visit. In his turn, the head of the delegation Mr. Rabin Marsh thanked the mayor of Beit Sahour and the council members for their warm hospitality and promised to work hard in order to find ways to help the Palestinians in their current crisis and to meet certain needs of the city.
