Palestinian participation in a Conference of Women in France Each of Janet Barhoum and Elen Qassis, municipal council members participated in the World Conference for Women in France on the occasion of Women’s Day, according to the invitation from Von Vola Municipality in France which has a friendship bonds with Beit Sahour Municipality. This conference brought together women from several countries, including: Armenia, Algeria, France, Germany, Nicaragua, Nigeria, France and Palestine. During this conference, Ms. Barhoum spoke about the influence of Israeli occupation on the Palestinian economy, health and environment. In addition, Ms. Qassis spoke about the difficult situatio The Palestinian delegation has received special attention and warm welcome by Mayor of Von Vola and members of municipal and participants in the conference. The delegation also gave some gifts from the Palestinian heritage and crafts made in Palestine in the Holy Land, for each of the mayor and participants.
