The Nights of Beit Sahour Festival at Ush Ghurab Peace Park

During the weekend of July 10-13, 2009, the Arab Orthodox Club in cooperation with Beit Sahour Municipality hosted the Nights of Beit Sahour Festival. The festival included famous Arabic singers such as Rizan Khoury, Haithem Shomali, Mourad Al Swayti, and Amjed Khair. In addition there were performances by Shyah Dance and Theatre Group from Ramallah.

The festival spanned four nights, each night featuring a different performer. On the opening night the crowds were greeted and welcomed warmly by Mr. Jameel Ghareeb, President of the Arab Orthodox Club and Mayor Hani Al-Hayek.

The festival attracted large crowds of local and international residents of the Beit Sahour area. Since the creation of Ush Ghurab Peace Park and its re-opening in April 2009, it has been filled with park goers, children, youth, sports players and families enjoying its facilities and atmosphere.
