Multi-Municipality Conference in Anghiari, Italy October 7, 2009
The Italian municipalities expressed their interest in developing cooperative relationships with Beit Sahour Municipality and its community through various projects of cultural, economic and informational exchange. The Mayor of Anghiari, Mr. Danilo Biache, pledged to support Beit Sahour Municipality with an equipment empowerment project for the Engineering and Survey Departments. Recall that a twinning and cooperation agreement was signed between Beit Sahour and Anghiari in June 2009. Mayor Danilo, accompanied by a delegation, will be coming to Beit Sahour in June of 2010 to present the equipment and discuss further means of cooperation between the two municipalities. In addition, a delegation from the Municipality of Mira intends to visit Beit Sahour in February 2010 to solidify and enhance cooperation projects that focus on youth development and exchange.

A delegation composed of the Mayor of Beit Sahour, Mr. Hani Al-Hayek, the Project Development Manger, Eng. Hanan Manoly, and the Officer of International Relations, Mrs. Lubnah Shomali, attended a conference hosted by the Municipality of Anghiari in the Tuscany Region of Italy on October 7, 2009. The conference was attended by the mayors and representatives of other Italian municipalities which included Mira in the Venice Region, and Pelago and Rufina in the Tuscany Region.
