Dear Friends of Beit Sahour and Palestine,

On behalf of the Municipal Council, the municipality staff and I, it has been a pleasure to serve the people of Beit Sahour these past five years. Please accept my sincere thanks and gratitude for granting me and this current administration the honor of your vote and your trust.

I am humbled by your strength and perseverance. I am awed by your love of life, family and persistence in pursuing your happiness despite the situation in which we find ourselves. I would also like to thank you for your patience and cooperation during the construction of all our projects and ask that your patience continues into the future for there are many more projects to come.

I believe that this administration has accomplished many important and substantial projects in the city-with limited financial and institutional resources-from infrastructure to income generation to environmental conservation and institutional development as set out by our current Three Year Investment Plan. Regardless of what the future brings, this administration promises to continue to faithfully serve its citizens until the time our responsibilities are determined to be over. We will continue to develop and improve our strategic plan for the city, incorporating the needs of our citizens into every aspect of our work.

As we push forward together, hand in hand I implore to all of you to keep hope alive in your hearts for the betterment of our community, our way of life and an independent Palestinian State.
